Georgian Farmers’ Association, with the support of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection, in cooperation with inter 3 and BTU, started a new project “Waste2Wealth”.
Waste2Wealth aims to strengthen German-Georgian cooperation and facilitate the transfer of technology and knowledge for the sustainable utilization of agricultural waste in Georgia. The kick-off meeting took place last week, bringing together a diverse group of stakeholders. Farmers and representatives from the private, public, and civil sectors engaged in discussions to identify priority areas in agriculture. They explored how processing agricultural waste could be transformed into valuable products, contributing to sustainable practices. Our German partners visited a bio almond factory in Kakheti, where they observed the production process and its byproducts firsthand.
