With the support of the European Union, the ReGrow project (Internationalization of education in Agriculture in Georgia and Ukraine) has been launched within the framework of the Erasmus+ educational initiative.
The initiative is being implemented with the communication support of the Georgian Farmers’ Association and aims to transform higher education in agriculture by developing innovative MSc programs in Georgia and Ukraine. It equips stakeholders with the necessary tools to lead in sustainable practices, advanced technologies, and digital transformation.
The consortium brings together the following organizations from Greece, Germany, Ukraine, and Georgia: Georgian Farmers’ Association, ARISTOTELO PANEPISTIMIO THESSALONIKIS, MITROPOLITIKO COLLEGE ANONYMI EKPAIDEYTIKI ETAIRIA, HOCHSCHULE WEIHENSTEPHAN-TRIESDORF, BK CONSULT GMBH, TRIESDORF AGROBUSINESS CONSULTING, GEORGIAN TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY, SAMTSKHE-JAVAKHETI STATE UNIVERSITY, SHOTA MESKHIA STATE TEACHING UNIVERSITY OF ZUGDIDI, MINISTRY OF EDUCATION, SCIENCE AND YOUTH OF GEORGIA, NON-GOVERNMENTAL ORGANIZATION INTERNATIONAL AGRICULTURAL CLUSTER DNISTER, SUMY NATIONAL AGRARIAN UNIVERSITY, NON-GOVERNMENTAL ORGANIZATION “EUROREGION “DNIESTER”, POLISSIA NATIONAL UNIVERSITY, KHMELNITSKY NATIONAL UNIVERSITY.
The 3-year project intends to develop curricula for institutions implementing educational programs in agriculture in accordance with the demand of the labor market demands. The project involves educational institutions from four countries, as well as representatives from the public and private sectors and civil society organizations.
During the two-day meeting, representatives of the consortium member organizations discussed the project’s strategy, objectives, and quality assurance mechanisms. Additionally, they engaged in deliberations on the development of educational materials, accreditation processes and dissemination mechanisms of the project outcomes.
