The Georgian Farmers’ Association, along with its German partners, hosted the official opening ceremony of the “Green Concept Container” at a demonstration plot in Sagarejo.
The “Green Container” is an innovative demonstration space that offers interested individuals and farmers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience with modern technologies. This approach creates new, high-value products from various agricultural wastes.
The container integrates 5 different areas: Biogas Biochar Shredder and pellet mill Compost Digital learning
The “Waste to Wealth” (Waste2Wealth) project, drawing upon the knowledge and expertise of the Brandenburg University of Technology (BTU) and the Berlin-based research institute (inter 3), aims to create bio-products in Georgia by utilizing agricultural waste.
The event also featured a presentation of the entire demonstration plot, which the Georgian Farmers’ Association has been developing since 2024 with the support of the Swedish Government. The plot is used for testing annual and perennial crops, recycling various types of waste, and sharing accumulated practical knowledge with farmers. Additionally, irrigation and fertigation systems were installed on the site with the support of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency.
