The department’s mission is to provide data analytics in the agri sector and research on agri-related issues in various sectors for both member and non-member farmers and businesses. The department provides services in the areas of needs research, value chain analysis, economic feasibility assessment, regulatory impact assessment, market research, agribusiness start-up or expansion investment feasibility assessment, full business plan preparation, monitoring and evaluation.

Natia Gelashvili
Head of the department since 2017. Before that, she worked as a senior specialist in the National Accounts Division of the National Statistical Service of Georgia. Doctoral student of the School of Economics of the Caucasus University. Bachelor of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University Faculty of Economics and Business (specialization in management) and Master of the English language program of the International School of Economics (ISET). She is an invited lecturer at the National University of Georgia in the programs of principles of microeconomics and macroeconomics.

Giorgi Bulia
Senior researcher in the department from 2021. Responsible for review of announced research tenders and preparation/submission of relevant offer; on planning and implementation of research within projects; Close communication with sector experts and coordination of their activities. Also involved in preparing analytical reports/blogs. Has six years of work experience in the areas of monitoring and evaluation, research, analysis and management. Worked at PMO Business Consulting as a business consultant and researcher (2018-2021) in the position of researcher at GeoWel Research (2015-2017). Lela Muradashvili
Lela Muradashvili is a researcher at the Department since 2024, also involved in projects as a contract manager and coordinator. Holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations (English program) from the International Black Sea University and a Master’s degree in Human Rights and Security (English program) from Tuscia University (Viterbo, Italy). Has professional experience at the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, within the Department of Euro-Atlantic Integration. She has also actively participated in various trainings and youth–civil society initiatives, including those of the Eastern European Centre for Multiparty Democracy (EECMD), the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence (Tuscia University, Italy), the international youth organization AIESEC, and other projects.
