The Georgian Farmers’ Association at the World Farmers’ Organisation (WFO) Annual Summit 2026

Tamar Toria, Executive Director of the Georgian Farmers’ Association and Facilitator of the Climate Change Working Group of the World Farmers’ Organisation (WFO), attended the WFO Annual Summit 2026. During the summit, leaders and representatives of farmers’ organisations from around the world discussed the global challenges facing agriculture and food systems, as well as opportunities for their development and growth.

As part of the event, Tamar Toria moderated the opening session of the summit, dedicated to the theme: “Sustainable Natural Resource Management – The Strategic Role of Water.” During the discussion, participants emphasized that water is a fundamental foundation for agricultural production, climate resilience, and the well-being of rural communities. The session once again reaffirmed the importance of international cooperation and the decisive role of farmers’ organisations in ensuring the efficient and sustainable management of water resources.
