Headquarters, the 2025 Forum of the UNFCCC Standing Committee on Finance took place in Rome. The Executive Director of the Georgian Farmers’ Association, Tamar Toria, attended the series of meetings and also delivered remarks in the opening session.
The discussions centered on the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). Clear messages emerged: agrifood systems are central to climate solutions, yet agriculture still receives only 7% of global climate finance. Together with farmer leaders and partners, we underlined why
hashtag#ClimateFinance must put farmers at the center to build resilient, sustainable
hashtag#FoodSystems.
The Forum also featured a series of sessions of the Food and Agriculture for Sustainable Transformation (FAST) Partnership, with a focus on climate, agriculture, and finance.
