On March 28, a Spring Agromarket organized by the Georgian Farmers’ Association was held in Kutaisi. The event aimed to support local production, promote healthy products, and connect farmers directly with consumers.
The exhibition and sale hosted guests from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at “Gala,” located at 29 Zakaria Paliashvili Street.
During the event, up to 30 farmers and entrepreneurs presented their products to the visitors.
Food Safety and Standards
Special attention was given to food safety and local standards. Guests had the opportunity to meet GeoGAP-certified farmers in person, as well as taste and purchase their agri-food products.
Interactive Masterclasses
Alongside the exhibition and sale, culinary masterclasses were held, making the event even more interactive and engaging. Guests participated in the traditional process of making Sulguni cheese, Khachapuri, and Pkhali.
The event is supported within the framework of the project „Capacitated Agricultural Practices and Consumer Awareness (CAPCA)”, funded under the EU-supported European Neighborhood Programme for Agriculture and Rural Development in Georgia (ENPARD – Georgia/the fourth phase – ENPARD IV), and is implemented by the consortium represented by the Georgian Farmers’ Association (GFA) (lead partner) and two co-applicants: Center for Strategic Research and Development of Georgia (CSRDG) and Beekeepers Association of Georgian Mountainous Regions (Ambrolauri District).
