The team of the Georgian Farmers’ Association participated in a series of high-level meetings in Brussels at the invitation of the European Farmers and Agri-Cooperatives Association (COPA COGECA).
As part of the visit, the Chairperson of the Farmers’ Association, Nino Zambakhidze MBA, Executive Director Tamar Toria, and Head of the AgriTech and Innovation Department Tamta Mamulaidze engaged in discussions with representatives of leading international institutions and organizations.
The meetings addressed key challenges in the agricultural sector, the role of women and youth in the industry, and the significance of AgriTech innovations for the sustainable development of agriculture. Additionally, opportunities for enhancing collaboration were explored.
The meeting was attended by: the Belgian Farmers’ Union, the European Council of Young Farmers (CEJA), Georgia Domestic Advisory Group, Directorate-General for Agriculture and Rural Development of the European Commission, European Agricultural Machinery Association, Agriculture Bureau, Glastuinbouw Nederland, Polish Presidency of the Council of the EU.
Since 2014, the Georgian Farmers’ Association has been a privileged partner of COPA-COGECA, the European Farmers and Agri-Cooperatives Association.
