Organized by the Georgian Farmers’ Association (GFA), a delegation of Georgian producers participated in the world’s leading agro-exhibition – Fruit Logistica.
The delegation members, alongside the GFA team, represented the sectors of nursery farming, fruit and vegetable production, and distribution. The visit provided them with a significant opportunity to engage in direct communication and exchange experiences with international suppliers, technology companies, and agribusiness partners.
Key Highlights:
High-Quality Nursery Material – Initiating partnerships with leading European nurseries, which will facilitate the introduction of certified, high-quality saplings to the Georgian market.
Climate Resilience – Special interest was drawn to hail and frost protection systems, which are essential for crop insurance and risk mitigation.
Precision Agriculture: Participants learned about innovative weed-control systems managed by cameras and sensors.
Increasing Export Potential – The delegation members met with companies manufacturing fruit and vegetable calibration/sorting systems and eco-friendly packaging. They also explored fruit and vegetable quality assessment technologies that can detect hidden damage or diseased produce with high accuracy.
