Vocational Education and Training (VET) Department
It identifies the professional needs corresponding to the demand of the labor market, develops and implements qualification educational and professional training/retraining programs with a practice-based teaching approach. Conducts research on quality assurance of agricultural professional education. Develops and implements demand-oriented non-formal educational services. Works on digitalization of agricultural vocational education and administration and capacity building of the branch association “Agro Duo”.

Nikoloz Meskhishvili
Head of the department since 2016. As an education expert, he coordinates the implementation of the work-based learning/dual model component of vocational education reform in the association. As an education expert, he participates in the work of various working groups and councils in the professional education process. He is a member of the Council granting the right to implement the professional training/retraining program. He worked in the Department of Vocational Education Development of the Ministry of Education and Science as the head of the Social Partnership Development Division; He was involved in the projects of international donor organizations (UNDP; SDC; DVV International; World Vision; MCC). In terms of internationalization of agricultural professional education, he implemented a student exchange program in Germany. Holds the status of an affiliated representative of Cambridge International College. He is a bachelor of Tbilisi State Institute of Economic Relations; He completed a course at London Metropolitan University, a master’s program in international service management at Stenden University in the Netherlands; Cambridge International College Business Management Administration and Marketing Program. He is a graduate of “Franklin Covey Leadership Course” and “Development of Professional Capabilities of Public Officials in Decision Making and Negotiation Techniques” organized in partnership with the Estonian School of Diplomacy.
